Abu Dhabi launches new permit service for property ads to combat fake listings

The advertising permit service is now available on the AccessRP platform and has been fully implemented across ADGM’s jurisdiction, on both Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands.

Abu Dhabi: In a move to protect consumers and boost confidence in the market, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) said it is launching a new ‘Real Estate Advertising Permit’ service.

The service, launched on ADGM’s AccessRP platform, will require a mandatory permit for all property advertisements within its jurisdiction, directly targeting the widespread issue of fake and misleading listings.

This initiative is a collaboration between the ADGM Registration Authority, the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC). It leverages the power of Madhmoun, the UAE’s first government-regulated Multiple Listing Service (MLS), to verify the authenticity of every property advertisement.

The integration of Madhmoun with ADGM’s new permit system creates a powerful tool for a transparent and secure real estate market.

The move is designed to combat unverified, duplicate, and inaccurate property ads that often mislead potential buyers and renters. By requiring a permit for every listing, the new service ensures that all published advertisements are legitimate and that the information they contain has been officially verified.
